Sacred Himalayas-Calendar 2026

We move into 2026 with a lot of trepidition! Violence is wrecking the world and there is no peace anywhere! Neo-colonial powers strive for more and more power, while we the ordinary suffer as always. Nature suffers from all kinds of pollution. The air we breathe, the greenery which soothes our souls, the water we drink may just be unusuable any moment. Could money and power give us back the treasure we naturally inherited and which we are throwing away? The theme for this year's calendar has been Sacred Himalayas. The abode of peace has been rebelling against human exploitation. As a painter, it is difficult to camouflage the hidden fears which I realize has poured forth subtly into the Mountain Series.
